Word War 2® Card Game

Word War 2, created and designed by artist and educator Kathy L. Jackson under Kalypso Arts, LLC, is an exciting word game that challenges players to combine their common knowledge, quick thinking, and trivia skills to say familiar two-word nouns and phrases. The answers can be funny, factual, fictional, foreign, flubbed, profane, but mostly familiar! The D-Day Scenario has even greater challenges, extra time, and bonuses.

Game Play

Each player has five seconds to say a common two-word or compound word answer for the drawn card's letter pair on their turn. Answers must be valid, and if not challenged, the game continues until a player bombs. This means giving a bad answer, repeating, saying a variation of a previous answer, or going M.I.A. (missing in action). In all instances, the player takes the card(s) immediately. The player then draws a new card, and the next round begins. The player with the fewest cards at the end wins, so listen carefully and think fast! 

Donations help us to print a greater number of games at a lesser cost. Kalypso Arts, LLC is a small, minority-owned company based in Philadelphia, PA. Word War 2 is our first foray into the tabletop game space. U.S. game companies are capable, but costs are much higher. Many rely on overseas printing for best output at lower costs. In most cases, printing overseas is less expensive but shipping to the U.S. can nearly level the playing field. Additional and changing tariffs cause uncertainty and even higher prices especially with limited resources. We’ve made Word War 2 in the U.S. at a higher cost. Pricing and production have been challenging so we’re asking for your support.
