The Game
Word War 2® by Kalypso Arts, LLC, was created by artist and educator, Kathy L. Jackson. WW2 challenges word game fans to combine common knowledge, trivia and quick thinking to say common 2-word and compound word nouns and phrases. Answers are funny, factual, fictional, fantastic, foreign, flubbed and profane, but mostly, familiar! The D-Day Scenario; more challenges, time and bonuses.
Gameplay
Each player has five seconds to say a familiar 2-word* answer for the drawn card's letter pair on their turn. Answers must be acceptable. If not challenged, the answer is accepted and play proceeds until a player bombs. This includes timing-out or an M.I.A. (missing in action) where the player takes the card(s). That player draws and a new round begins. No repeats or variants of previous answers. So, listen carefully and think fast!

The Word War 2® Card Game is great for players who can turn a phrase. "The luck o' the draw" can allow players to claim the most popular answers for popular letter pairs, first. Foreign phrases are acceptable as they're often used. The D-Day Scenario limits the scope of answers, demanding a sharper focus. Some of the most 'colorful' phrases originated in the military, so "bombs away!" and "let 'er rip!"
Ensure "the coast is clear" before saying the 'saltiest' answers.
WW2 provides over an hour of playing time as it contains 130 cards. With some creativity, games can last even longer. Ante up, choose themes, etc. Play as many or as few cards as time allows. Play to win, play for fun, or play solitaire to challenge yourself.
